Benz Oil Company was founded by the Benz family back in 1980. Since then we have become the area's trusted provider of quality diesel, gas, propane, and lubricants for agricultural, industrial, and residential customers.
We have also been a licensed HAZMAT carrier for 40 years, a certification we take seriously.

4 Decades in Gas and Oil
In 1956, Bernard "Bernie" Benz was working as a salesman for Standard Oil Company. After 24 years in the industry he had the experience to own his own gas and oil business, and in 1980 he purchased Standard Oil Company in Killdeer, ND and two Amoco Stations in Arnegard and Watford City.
The Amoco Stations in Arnegard and Watford City operated as West River Petroleum Company until they were sold in 1986.
In 1994 Bernie retired, leaving company ownership and operations to his two sons, Mark and Scott. The company has since been managed by Bernie's son Mark and Mark's wife Dina, surrounded by an outstanding team of employees dedicated to fulfilling customers' needs, and Benz Oil continues to search for new ways to exceed customer expectations.
